One of medica mondiale's partner organisations is MEMPROW in Uganda - a mentoring and empowerment programme for young women. MEMPROW has set itself the goal of empowering and promoting girls and young women. Young women are to be increasingly involved in decision-making processes. The aim is to eliminate the structural causes of gender inequality at local, national and international level. MEMPROW also organises family reconciliation meetings, which help to question and deconstruct gender roles within the family, especially among men.
